Buy Now food court [again] and the Grandview Mall

Josh and I both had to head to the office last Friday evening, so I figured we should head out somewhere after, since it's not like we really have anything better to do.

I figured I'd take him to experience the joy that is the Buy Now food court and then we'd just wander around after.

He never had boba tea before; I fixed that. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is $0.44 salmon sushi [per pair] on the right (I already ate one piece). Also, I might have splurged and gotten the large boba...

"Is that a big metal robot wine holder?" Yes, yes it is.

Grandview is the mall I walked past last time, since I figured it would be the same as the T Mall...I was wrong. It was actually far more entertaining and had much more to see.

 I call shenanigans.

"The what?"

Ooooooooh. That's what they mean by "pleasure ground."
There were a couple rides, a haunted house, an entire arcade, and a movie theater:
This guy was pretty bad. Better than me, though.

Two story merry-go-round. I wanted to ride but it seemed closed.

Tickets for "Alice in Wonderland" in 3D were 100 yuan, or about $15 USD. Ouch. I hear it's a super nice room with super nice seats, though, so I'll be checking it out anyway! I'm going to have to pass on the popcorn though...it looked...sad.

Funny story about these papayas: my school gave a box of 4 of them to all the teachers that afternoon, which was fantastic. The only problem was that I was heading straight from the school to the office and then out for the night, so I was carrying around this box of papayas around the entire night (I gave the other 2 away after I got to the office).

  1. It's not closed (The pleasure ground). You need to buy a ticket from the ticket place.
